Sunglasses were the must-have accessory on the runways of NY Fashion Week 2017. We have been very excited to see how the styles flowed through from catwalk to high street.  Rest assured, there is a lot of choice with an abundance of shapes, sizes, colours and design to suit every face shape.  You’ll be happy to know oversized sunglasses are still as popular as ever this S|S.  Ditto for modernised twists on the classic aviators with both clear and tinted lenses (check out Victoria Beckham’s aviator range).  In fact lense colours are popping out this season across all styles. There is a myriad of colour choice between cool yellow tints to blue, pink and anywhere in between.  And not forgetting the choice of finish – mirrored, clear or two toned.

If aviators aren’t your thing try out the revived cat’s eyes style which suit most faces with its delicate yet funky temple flick. Dolce & Gabbana threw shapes at the geometric style with octagonal, hexagonal and almost pentagonal designs. For those that want sparkle and glitter Gucci oversized square gold glasses  will definitely catch your eye. Statement sunglasses, if you can pull them off, are the way to get you noticed this Summer. So long as the D&G Hydranga price tag (below) of £1275 doesn’t put you off.

There are so many ways to hit the street with style this season and to be perfectly honest it was quite difficult curating this cherry picked selection.  At the end of the day it’s all about matching your personality (and pocket) to the style that will rock your Summer.
