Have you ever wondered how the hottest fashion colours transend our lifestyle from clothes to interiors and accessories? The Pantone Colour Institute are the brains behind the colours. They revealed their top 10 Spring 2017 colour predictions at the end of New York Fashion Week through their expert overview of fashion designers use of colour in their spring collections. These are the number one predictions on colours you’ll be seeing this spring and the colours you’ll want to wear!

The spring colour palette is a mix of vitality, relaxation, the earth and the great outdoors. All in all they imbue hues that surround us in nature and which evoke a ‘spectrum of emotion and feeling’ so says Leatrice Eismann, the Executive Director at Pantone.

We’ve picked out some of our favourites from the palette. Up front and leading the pack is Niagra – a classic and comfortable denim like blue and set to be the most prevalent colour for spring 2017. Taking a dramatic and captivating entrance to spring are the vivid and bold Flame and Pink Yarrow – you won’t fail to be noticed in these colours. The striking Lapis Blue has a very energetic navy tone which has the ability to connect through the seasons. The palette also offers us two effortless key neutrals, Pale Dogwood and Hazelnut, which give a subtle and calm balance.  And voted Pantone Colour of the year 2017 is Greenery which is a tangy yellow green that evokes a need to explore, experiment and reinvent.  See Colour of 2017 for a more in-depth look at Greenery.

So will you be escaping to the refreshing tropical waters of Island Paradise or will Kale beckon you to re-connect to the great outdoors? We’re eager to explore spring ’17 with the vitality, exploration and invigoration it promises.
