This watermelon & strawberry smoothie is freshness and Summer personified. Watermelon is deliciously juicy and high in vitamins and antioxidants. The addition of lime juice helps cut through any sweetness to make this a mouth watering smoothie option. Don’t worry about the watermelon pips, they are blender friendly. Also great as a first introduction to homemade smoothies for kids.

Serves 2

Medium banana
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 cup strawberries
1 cup watermelon
1/2 cup coconut water (add more if necessary)
1 desert spoon chia seeds

How to make it

Add all the ingredients in a blender and whizz up to a creamy consistency. Add a little more water if necessary. Makes approx 16oz.
